Week 7 Maths Strategy

This week we have learnt \revised the place  value strategy addition.This is my explanation

The howling wind blows as the sun shines on the soggy grass below. The unspeakable wind howls. Miserable branches lurk in the mysterious dusk.

Today we learnt to make StopMotion movies using iMotion pro.

Athletics day

Yesterday we had our athletics. My favourite event was four hundred metres. I broke the record. But I also liked discus, long jump,high jump, and also 1 hundred metres sprints.  I came first in 4 hundred metres and one hundred metres, long jump, discus  and shot put. I was tired at the end of all of that. My arms shook. I felt funny and I almost forgot we had relays. I lasted and tried my hardest to win. I the baton on to selth.  I  felt like a heap of junk after that. My team was in second place. Bree sprinted down the end and we came third. What a day.      

Tug o War

  The mystery box arrived at our door way. I thought... what is this weird box that turned up at our door. mysterious.

Inside it was a big rope that looked like a coiled up snake in a box.

I found out it was for tug o war that we were doing at athletics  on Thursday.

We took it outside to measure it so we could see the middle for us to play tug o war.

First we measured it with our feet. When we got to the end Mrs Ellis wanted Floyd to measure it with the measuring wheel. He measured it. When he stopped he said it was 30m long so we halved that and we found it came up as 15 meters. We folded it up and found half way. Mrs Ellis tied the string around the halfway. We had teams and we had a game of tug war. The other team won. They had a pretty strong team, though it was a good game off tug o war. It's sad we lost because Tyler and Braith were in that team.

Tyler and Braith thought they were strong but they nearly lost because I had Anthony and liam on my team. They weren't that strong but they still tried hard.
